We exhibited a booth as Sustainable Food Asia at "Food 4 future" held in Bilbao, Spain from April 16 to 18, 2024.

 The event, one of the world's largest food tech events, attracted 8,000 industry leaders from around the world to 200 booths, each of which featured a variety of technologies and initiatives developed for a better food future, focusing on the three key themes of sustainability, innovation, and technology. The exhibition featured a variety of technologies and measures developed with a better food future in mind.

WE HAVE BEEN CONDUCTING RESEARCH AND OTHER ACTIVITIES TO IDENTIFY THE KEYS TO EXPANDING FROM ASIA TO EUROPE, AS WELL AS TO OBSERVE THE EVOLUTION AND CHANGES IN STARTUPS AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE EU.

And at our booth, we exhibited and promoted the products of several companies exhibiting at the Sustainable Food Museum, including Fruit Meat.

I would like to share a few "local insights" with you

■Unique technologies and trends seen in Food4Future

  • -Development of healthy meat products by integrating meat and plants
  • -Increased variety of food loss upcycling products
  • -Evolution of new raw material development from loss food, etc.

 and others were of interest as unique technologies and trends.

◼️ STRONG EU AND MUNICIPAL BACKUP AND LEADERSHIP IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY

  • -SERIOUSNESS OF THE EU AND MUNICIPALITIES

THERE ARE SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER ENTITIES THAT HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED BY THE EU WITH ANNUAL SUBSIDIES IN THE ORDER OF DOUBLE-DIGIT BILLIONS OF YEN, WHICH THEY DEPLOY TO FUND THEIR ACTIVITIES. SIMILARLY, THE SPANISH INVESTMENT AGENCY AND THE PROVINCE OF BILBAO, THE HOST MUNICIPALITY, ARE ALSO PROVIDING SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT.

  • -Diversity and strength of food x educational institutions

SEVERAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, REPRESENTED BY THE BASQUE CULINARY CENTER (BCC), EXHIBITED AND PRESENTED THEIR TECHNOLOGIES. BOTH AZTI, THE ORGANIZER OF THE EVENT, AND THE ABOVE-MENTIONED INSTITUTIONS HAVE MANY STUDENT INTERNS, AND MANY STUDENTS COULD BE SEEN AT THE VENUE. I FEEL THAT IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE FUTURE THAT SO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE ARE COMING TO BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THIS INDUSTRY.
