Press Release] Sustainable Food Asia Establishes "Halal Open Factory" in Cooperation with NANKA, Malaysia
Sustainable Food Asia K.K. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Kei Unno, Representative Director; hereinafter referred to as "SFA") will start providing services of "Halal Open Factory" in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, on October 1, 2025. This facility will be operated based on a business alliance with NANKA (Head office: Singapore; Representative: Ahmad Syafik bin Jaafar), which has been jointly developing, manufacturing, and selling fruit meat utilizing jackfruit since 2022.
This facility is a base for food-related companies considering entry into the Southeast Asian market to support product development and trial production in small lots using halal-certified facilities, as well as test marketing to local consumers. The purpose of this facility is not a large-scale mass production plant, but rather pilot manufacturing and evaluation to confirm suitability for the local market.
