Sustainable Food Asia provides a variety of services aimed at co-creating the next-generation food industry by connecting food and agri-tech startups from Asia with Japanese food-related companies.
In addition to forming alliances in Southeast Asia, holding the Sustainable Food Camp, a business co-creation conference, and providing research support for product development utilizing new food ingredients, diabetes prevention, halal compliance, etc., Sustainable Food Asia also provides social outreach from multiple locations in Toranomon, Tokyo, including the Sustainable Food Museum and the Sustainable Food Lab. In addition, we are strengthening our efforts to communicate to society from multiple locations, including the Sustainable Food Museum and the Sustainable Food Lab in Toranomon, Tokyo. We will continue to promote the creation of new food standards that are friendly to the earth and our bodies.

We support alliances between food/agri-tech startups in Southeast Asia and Japanese companies, and even support business/capital alliances. In Malaysia, we hold the "Sustainable Food Camp" every year to create the food industry of the future together with Asian food tech startups.

Under the Shintora Innovation Initiative Foodα (Fooda), we are developing the Sustainable Food Museum, a showcase of sustainable food that can be enjoyed as a café, and the Sustainable Food Lab, a shared office/restaurant in Toranomon, Tokyo.

Sustainable Food Creation

Market research/product planning/manufacturing support

Working with food tech startups and food manufacturers/restaurant businesses, Sustainable Foods' research/product development supports the sales of products that contribute to SDG/ESG and the launch of businesses. We aim to realize our vision of "creating a new standard of food that is friendly to the earth and human body" with new food materials and technologies from Asia.

Manufacture/import and sale of fruit meats

We are the exclusive distributor in Japan of Fruit Meat, a new food ingredient derived from jackfruit. It is a healthy, sustainable food with abundant dietary fiber, low calories, almost no sugar or fat, and utilizes waste fruit. We are looking for food manufacturers and food service companies that are interested in joint product development.

Research and development of diabetes prevention food, product planning

We are working on research and product development of a diabetes prevention diet utilizing jackfruit in collaboration with Rohto Pharmaceutical Co. We aim to solve social issues and create health for the next generation through new materials.

Product development support for halal products

In the spring of 2025, we opened a test factory for halal products in Malaysia. Taking advantage of the characteristics of this multi-ethnic and multi-religious country, we can use this facility to prepare for product development and market expansion through prototyping and small-scale manufacturing tests.

This is a project to deliver an extra richness to people, the earth, and society by quickly implementing in society (=version α) the technologies and services that will create the future of food, using the Shintora area as a stage. We aim to create an ecosystem where food startups from Japan and abroad gather to accelerate co-creation and collaboration by making the entire town a place of "inspiration" and "connection".

Sustainable Food Museum

A place to experience the future of food. The "Sustainable Food Museum" introduces the ideas and services of 100 startup companies that are working on new sustainable food materials. The café offers new food experiences through collaborative menus.

Sustainable Food Lab

A place to experiment with the future of food. It is a base for new challenges where companies and researchers gather, collaborate, and demonstrate sustainable food to society.

Sustainable Food Park

A "gateway to the future of food". A place where you can encounter the "food of the future" created in the Shingora area. The kitchen cars will introduce food that will inspire you to think about the environment, health, and social issues, turning your daily lunch or a stopover into a time to think about the future.
