Sustainable Food Asia has added "Umamo", a tasty ingredient from Okinawa, which is made from Awamori lees that have been disposed of, to the new menu of omusubi at "Sustena Omusubi", an omusubi shop based on the concept of sustainability in the "Sustainable Food Museum" in the Shinbashi and Toranomon area of Tokyo. Umamo", a delicious ingredient from Okinawa that utilizes Awamori lees, which have been discarded until now.

UMAMO" IS A KARAZUMI-FLAVORED POWDER CONTAINING RICH NUTRIENTS SUCH AS DHA, WHICH IS SPRINKLED ON TOP OF THE SALTED MUSUBI TO ENHANCE ITS FLAVOR.

 

Cold miso soup and four kinds of cold sencha tea are also available as a side menu for the summer season. On-site catering is also available and can be delivered with "cutting-edge food tech" sustainable food in addition to omusubi.

Sustained Catering (on-site delivery service)

In August, we started "Sustena Catering," an on-site delivery service. In addition to omusubi (rice balls), we can deliver a set of our partner company's "cutting-edge food tech" sustainable foods to corporate events, etc. We can also provide a set of our partner company's "cutting-edge food tech" sustainable foods for social gatherings and exchanges at SDGs and sustainability-themed events and workshops, or for corporate training and management camps where you can enjoy lunch and coffee breaks while enjoying foods that are kind to the earth and your health. We hope you will use this service for your lunch time or coffee break while enjoying our earth and health friendly food.

Sustainable Food Museum opened in June 2023 as a "Machinaka Showcase" to exhibit and introduce new ideas and services of various companies including start-ups in the food tech field. Sustaina Omusubi" is a rice ball shop that uses ingredients that are carefully selected with consideration for the global environment, human life, and society, and products made in collaboration with some of the sustainable ingredients on display are available for purchase.
